KARACHI - Dr Ayma Syed, a renowned practitioner in Community Dentistry has joined Sharif Medical & Dental College (SMDC) in the capacity of Associate Professor & Head of Department, Community & Preventive Dentistry.
She graduated with BDS from Baqai Dental College in 1999 followed by M.Phil in Community Dentistry from Punjab University (PU) in 2008.
Since then she has endeavored to establish the importance of Community Dentistry in Pakistan by actively advocating Oral Health through various Oral Health Education campaigns. Her most prominent achievement to-date is the success of Unilever/FDI joint venture "Live, Learn and Laugh" Phase I & II, as the Principal Investigator.
With abundant teaching and field work experience, Dr Syed continues to flourish with her most recent achievement - the World No Tobacco Day successfully commemorated at SMDC on 29th of May 2015.-PR
