FJDC participated in KMC medical camp



Fatima Jinnah Dental College (FJDC) & hospital participated in 2 major events with Karachi Munipical Corporation. The theme of the event was free medical and dental checkup. This was a perfect example of when the private sector joins with the public sector to facilitate the civilians. Deputy mayor of Karachi Dr Arshad Vohra inaugurated this event for KMC employees at KMC building and for the public on 3.5 number Model Park near Sindh Govt Hospital Korangi area. He inspected stalls of different medical organization and met with doctors and paramedical staff. He said, “These camps are very beneficial for the common man and more efforts should be done to improve Government hospital”. Dr Adnan Sukkarwalla were the organizer from FJDC&H, Dr Ahsan Inayat, Dr Muhammad Owais, Dr Yasin Ahmed, Dr Salman Zahid and Dr Danish Moeez were the volunteer Dental officers. Patients were diagnosed and were prescribed medicines & were given reference to hospital for their dental treatment. Dr Baqar Askary (Ceo of FJDC) has always supported dental outreach programs, and he announced discounted treatment in FJDC Hospital for the people who visited the camp.

Besides dental diagnosis, laboratory testing was also provided to KMC employees and Korangi civilians in the camp for blood sugar, cholesterol, BMD bone test, Hepatitis B, C and Skin and eye test whereas Essa Laboratory , JPMC, Sailani Welfare and other organizations set up their stalls in this camp. Deputy Mayor gave away shields to members of governing body of organizing the camp.
