KARACHI- In the last meeting of Pakistan Prosthodontics Association (Karachi Chapter), it was decided that lectures to be arranged on different topics of Prosthodontics by prosthodontists from various Dental Colleges of Sindh. Initially, Hamdard University Dental Hospital (HUDH) was selected to have such an activity in which lectures on various topics covering all aspects of Prosthodontics were delivered. These topics included applied aspects of dental materials, removable partial denture, complete denture, fixed partial denture, implant supported prosthesis, occlusion, etc. Among the invited speakers were Dr Faisal Aziz (CMH, Malir); Dr Farhan Khan (BDC); Dr Kashif Aslam ( DUHS); Dr Irfan Qureshi (AIDM); Dr S Murtaza Raza Kazmi ( DUHS); and Dr Atif Jawad from Bhitai Dental College, Mirpurkhas. After every lecture there was an active question-answer session, to which participants were invited to ask questions and queries lurking in their minds to understand the topics. All the speakers appreciated this effort stating said that such educational activity will further improve the working relationships among dental colleges which is an integral component for promotion of educational standard in dental colleges. The coordinator of this activity was Dr Mehmood Hussain (Head, Prosthodontics Department, HUDH). In future, this activity will be conducted at other Dental Institutes as well.
