KARACHI: In line with the mission of Founder HamdardUniversity Shaheed Hakim Mohammad Said to develop &promote a research culture in Hamdard University, Head of Hamdard University Dental Hospital (HUDH) Prof Dr Nadeem Hafeezalong with other faculty members visited PCSIR to explore new fields of research in Dentistry. The visit was arranged by Dr Abdul Rehman from Department of Dental Materials in HUDH.
Director GeneralKarachi Lab Complex PCSIR, DrKanizaFizzaAzhar welcomed the faculty members of HUDH and shared various fields in dentistry were researchcan be done to get results which will be beneficial.
DrKhaulaSherren, Head of Applied Chemistry & Research Centeroffered various facilities available there to perform different tests on dental materials. It was decided to perform these tests initially on available local dental materials & compare these results with imported materials.
Mr AFK Ifrahim Senior Experimental officer PCSIR &DrJunaidMehmood accompanied faculty members of HUDH & showed them different machines like Impact Tester, Gas Chromatography, Universal Testing Machine, Spectrophotometer etc. Then they gave briefing about these machines and discussed that how these machines cab be utilized in doing research in Dentistry.
It was decided to sign MOU soon to enhance professional collaboration and initiate research in different aspects of Dentistry. In the end shields were presented by Prof Dr Nadeem HafeezKhokhar to PCSIR Officers.
