JSMU Students Protest Against Federal Government’s Control

KARACHI-  A large number of students belonging to Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU), earlier staged a peaceful protest demonstration outside Karachi Press Club for the authorities to withdraw the decision of handing over administrative control of Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases and National Institute of Child Health to the Federal Government from the Government of Sindh.

Due to this sudden shift, future of hundreds of students is on stake, as their housejob and medical training will get affected if the decision is not withdrawn immediately.

These protesting students demanded to formulate a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Jinnah Sindh Medical University and the administrative heads of those three health facilities, in order to continue their affiliation.
