KMDC Holds ‘Oral Cancer Awareness’ Program

Bahria University Of Medical and Dental College Took Active Part


An Oral Cancer Awareness program was organized by Karachi Medical & Dental College. The event consisted of an awareness walk and poster exhibition.


Bahria University Medical & Dental College (BUMDC) actively participated in the event.  BUMDC team comprised of Dr. Daud Mirza, Associate Professor, HOD Oral Pathology and Lecturers from various departments: Dr. M. Shahrukh Khan Sadiq, Dr. Umair Aslam, Dr. Sajjad Haider and Dr. Arsalan Khalid. Enthusiastic young House Officers and 1st year, 3rd year and final year BDS students actively participated.



Dental faculty and students from all dental colleges of Karachi exhibited their solidarity with the resolution that proposed, the elimination of causative factors that result in mouth cancer.


A poster exhibition took place inside the historic Frere Hall where the students from all over Karachi, displayed unique ideas to spread the knowledge regarding the menace. The poster titled ‘Causes of Mouth Cancer’ from BUMDC, was awarded the second prize. Whereas, the award-winning poster was designed by BUMDC 3rd year students, Suleman Malik and Hafiz Najam us Saqib, under the supervision of Dr. M. Shahrukh Khan Sadiq.


BUMDC has an outstanding track record of not only zealously participating in national and international platforms but, also emerging at the top.
