BY Faria Tofique KARACHI-The 7th MAXFAC 2012 Annual Conference of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgerywith both international as well as national speakers participated to share their experiences and knowledge. The main objective of organizing such an event on a vast level was to promote, establish, maintain, administer and subsidize educational institutions, organizations and allied personals' for study and research in the field of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. MervynHosein hosted the entire inauguration ceremony. The noteworthy Internationals speakers that were given Honorable Fellowship of CPSP were Jatin P Shah, André Eckardt and Riaz A Warraich. Dr. IjazHussainAqeel was given the Life Time Achievement award for his illustrious hard work in the field of Dentistry. Dr.Jatin P Shah is FACS Chief, Head and Neck Service, also serving as a renowned Head and Neck Oncologist at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, USA appreciated the Oral Cancer National week in Pakistan. He also emphasized on banning of products that can lead to the disturbance in maintenance of Oral Health. Dr. André Eckardt who is a Professor at Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Hannover Medical College, Germany was also amongst the keynote speakers and also presented his special gratitude to the CPSP organizing Committee for providing him with this commendable opportunity of being a part of such an exotic event. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Mehmood Haider.
