Pakistan Day at Hamdard Univ. Dental Hospital

Every year 23rd March is celebrated as Pakistan Day to recall and rejoice the contribution of our real National Heroes who fought for the freedom of this country. As we all know that in 1940, a resolution was passed which became a very strong stimulus for the independence of Pakistan.

Continuing with this tradition, all employees and students of Hamdard University Dental Hospital (HUDH) decided to celebrate Pakistan Day once again this year. The day-long celebration began with a flag hoisting ceremony, in which a very huge flag placed at the University campus. After that all teaching and non teaching staff sang the National Anthem with great passion.

The acting Head of HUDH – Prof. Dr. Tahir Ali delivered a short speech in which he appreciated the efforts of the organizers, he said that we should all commemorate this day with a national spirit. Such activities will further improve our patriotism. We have to work very hard with honesty, only then we can help in the development of our country and face various challenges.

It was also pre-decided among the participants, that everyone will wear green or white colored dresses on the occasion. Dr Syed Raza Ali ( Senior House Officer Orthodontics Department, HUDH) and Dr Mehvesh Urooj ( Demonstrator Prosthodontics Department, HUDH) were the dress-contest judges, who selected the best dressed participants, whereby Prof Dr Tahir Ali gave away prizes for these outstanding dresses.

The HUDH management and staff also decided to celebrate Pakistan Day every year. Dr Syed Umair Ali and Dr Abira (Demonstrators at Oral Surgery & Peadodontics Department, HUDH) were the key organizers of this wonderful activity.
