COMMUNITY SUPPORT PROGRAM (CSP)


KARACHI – Another event was organized in continuation of the last visit of spreading smiles and happiness among school children of Beacon House (North Nazimabad campus) under the umbrella of Community Support Program (CSP) supervised by Dr. Kulsoom Fatima Rizvi, Head of Community and Preventive Dentistry and Vice Principal Dental Section BUMDC.


Another CSP was headed by Dr. Kulsoom Fatima Rizvi for 100 students of grade III in promoting bright smile. The program aimed in promoting good oral hygiene measure among school children for a healthier lifestyle. The students were divided into two group of fifty students in each group well organized by their respective teacher and coordinators. The program was facilitated by Dr. Raima, Dr. Nazish and Dr. Sidra with an interactive session, including power point presentation, videos and demonstration of tooth brushing on models.


The students responded actively with good participation and the teachers were overwhelmed by their gestures of enthusiasm and their positive interactions. There was an interactive question answer session at the end of the presentation to see how well the information has been perceived by the students. The students responded with correct answers and performed correct method of tooth brushing on models.


They were encouraged to share the information they received during this trip with their siblings and other members in the family. By the end of the session, the facilitators at Bahria distributed oral hygiene kits and badges which were welcomed with happy smiles by the children. A group photo of the children with their teachers and facilitators was clicked as a memory of their visit. The school teachers were very pleased with the overall program and will be motivating children to continue maintaining their good oral hygiene during regular school sessions also.


The school principal and administration appreciated the effort by the facilitators at Bahria in bringing bright and happy smiles to the grade III students of Beacon House and expressed their hope to see more such dental educational programs to be conducted in the future as well
