The Department of Operative Dentistry at Bahria University Medical and Dental College, Karachi, organized ‘Table Clinics Competition,’ among students of Final Year BDS.
The competition was organized by Dr. Adeel Ahmed and Dr. Umeed Javed, under the guidance of Dr. Shama Asghar.
The presentation topics were selected to enhance knowledge and dialogue among dental students by addressing some of the most common clinical issues like, Baby Bottle Caries, Bleaching of Vital and Non-vital Teeth and Esthetic Consideration in restorative dentistry.
The competition was judged by Associate Prof. Dr. Daud Mirza, HOD of Oral Pathology and Associate Prof. Dr. Tabassum Ahsan, HOD of Orthodontics. Students presented the table clinics with creativity and explained their topics using demonstration tools.
Group members representing Baby Bottle Caries namely; Adeena, Farwa, Aqsa won the competition and were awarded with certificates by Vice Principal Dental section, Dr. Kulsoom Fatima Rizvi.
Head of all departments, students and faculty members visited the table clinics and lauded the efforts of students and the faculty of Operative Dentistry. Dr. Kulsoom Fatima Rizvi and Prof. Dr. Wahab Kadri encouraged all the participants for their commendable efforts and to perform even better to represent BUMDC at every forum.
