KARACHI: The Operative Dentistry Department of Bahria University Medical & Dental College (BUMDC), in collaboration with The United States Educational Foundation Pakistan (USEFP), organized an Information session for the students and faculty of medical, dental, physiotherapy and nursing college.

 The session aimed to inform the listeners about the opportunities of studying in America for the postgraduate qualifications, particularly the Fulbright Scholarship for the postgraduate students.

 Mr Saleem A. Razaque (Director Program) and Mr Syed Faraz Hussain conducted the session. They appraised the students on the application and selection procedures for the Fulbright Scholarship Program, its prerequisites, including the GRE, important websites for preparation and the official links for access to free of cost career counsellors available for those seeking to apply to American Universities.

 Prof. Dr Ambreen Usmani, Principal and Dean Health Sciences, BUMDC, Prof. Dr Wahab Qadri, Principal Dental College, BUMDC, Cdre ® Irfan, Director Campus, BUMDC, Prof. Dr Kulsoom Rizvi, Vice Principal Dental College, BUMDC, and Vice-Principal BUCPT, as well as senior faculty members, final year students of all four colleges and medical and dental house officers, attended the session.

 Vice Admiral (Rt) Khalid Amin HI(M), Director General, BUMDC, thanked the representatives of USEFP for accepting Bahria University’s invitation and appreciated them for coming. He expressed his hope that the organization will cultivate a strong relationship with Bahria University and will continue to guide the students and graduates of Bahria.

 Prof. Dr Wahab Qadri concluded the session with a vote of thanks for the guest speakers and the audience. During his speech, he encouraged the students to explore and maximize the opportunities at their disposal that will benefit them in the future and our beloved country. He also appreciated the efforts of Dr Shama Asghar and her team in organizing the beneficial session.
