Zafa Group chairman M. Amin Khan passes away

KARACHI: Muhammad Amin Khan, Chairman of Zafa Group of Industries, a highly respected business leader, industrialist and philanthropist, has passed away. He left behind his widow, a son, three daughters and loving grandchildren to mourn. 

He was widely respected among the business community and was considered a legend in the pharmaceutical industry for his contribution to the sector and his high business ethics and values that comprised patriotism, product quality, affordability and positive thinking.

Besides being the founder of the first Pakistani multinational pharmaceutical firm, Zafa Group of Industries, he also represented with grace and dedication the whole pharma sector as the (former) chairman of the Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (PPMA). He dedicated his whole life to his mission of ensuring accessibility of the masses to the quality of medicines.

In a condolence message, Zafa Group’s management and staff paid rich tributes to their late leader, admiring his humbleness despite his high stature in the business community, especially pharma sector and lauded his passion to provide quality drugs at affordable prices throughout the country. 

Extending their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family of late Muhammad Amin Khan, they prayed to the Almighty to grant the departed soul a higher place in Jannah.

Mr Khan’s death was widely mourned in the pharma sector.

In a condolence message, the chairman, the Central Executive Committee and members of the Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (PPMA) fondly remembered their former chairman as a great human being and a pioneer of the pharma industry in the country. 

The association lauded his services for the sector and the people of Pakistan and expressed its profound grief over his sad demise.

The PPMA offered its sincere condolences to the grieving family of Mr Khan and prayed for the departed soul.
