NCOC Shuts Activities in Punjab, KPK, Islamabad Amid COVID Surge

ISLAMABAD - The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has recently decided to execute some Non-Pharmaceutical Interventions (NPIs) in highly COVID affected areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.

The restrictions would be enforced from 4 till 12 September. It includes banning all indoor and outdoor gatherings, all indoor gymnasiums and intercity public transports. Moreover, educational institutions would also remain closed till 12 September.

According to NCOC, the districts include 15 regions of Punjab;  Lahore, Gujrat, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Khushab, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Mianwali, Bhakkar, Khanewal, Multan, Bahawalpur and Rahim Yar Khan; eight districts of KP; Peshawar, Haripur, Abbottabad, Swabi, Malakand, Swat, Mansehra and Dera Ismail Khan; and Islamabad.
