PMC conducts post-exam analysis, corrects answer keys

KARACHI: Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) has been conducting a post-exam analysis of the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) amid ongoing protest against it.

PMC has recently released a notification which reads that,

'The MDCAT is currently going through an independent third party post-exam analysis as per international standards. The facility to review and download the interim MDCAT result has been disabled subject to the completion of the post-exam analysis.
Upon completion, the final result will be announced by the end of the week. Applicants sitting for the 9th October 2021 exam will only receive the final result.'

The Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) had said that it would engage Quaid-e-Azam University (QAU) to conduct the post-exam analysis of MDCAT and give scores to those candidates who attempted out of syllabus and ambiguous questions.

It also said that the council also informed that if the answer key of any question was incorrect or there was more than one answer to a question, it could be accepted as correct. The keys were corrected by the post-exam analysis team so that students, having given the correct answer, received the appropriate benefit while compiling the final results.
