Karachi: Dr. Hussain Askary (CEO & Head, Department of Community Dentistry-FJDC) stated a message on the occasion of the death anniversary of Fatima Jinnah on 9th July 2022.
He said “The establishment of FJDC is the fulfillment of the promise made to Late Ms. Fatima Jinnah by Dr. S. Baqar Askary, Founder and Chairman of Fatima Jinnah Dental College & Hospital Trust. Ms. Fatimah Jinnah was not only a dentist and had her own dental practice in Calcutta, but she also rejuvenated the self-confidence among Pakistani women about their skills and capabilities. She used her education and position to create awareness regarding women and their prenatal health among other social issues.
The iron lady is still remembered for her passionate support for civil rights and devoted struggle towards the Pakistan Movement. After the independence of Pakistan, she co-founded the Pakistan Women’s Association which played an integral role in the settlement of the women migrants in the newly formed country. Pakistani women should be inspired by Ms. Fatima Jinnah's leadership as she serves as their role model.
