Two more Quetta medics test positive for Congo virus 

QUETTA: The prevalence of Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF) has recently been confirmed in two more doctors from the Civil Hospital Quetta.

As per the health department's spokesperson, the diagnosis of the Congo virus has been established in two more doctors at the Civil Hospital, bringing the total number of affected medical professionals to 11.

Spokesperson Dr Wasim Baig further reported that a nurse and a paramedic from the Civil Hospital are also currently battling the Congo virus.

A state of health emergency has been declared in Balochistan, considering the escalating cases of the Congo virus.

Caretaker Chief Minister Ali Mardan Domki has reported a total of 44 cases of the Congo virus in Balochistan, ordering prompt implementation of the health emergency measures to cueb the disease spread in the province.
