Amir Liaquat gives innovative 'solution' to decrease drug prices

Karachi: Member of National Assembly, Dr Amir Liaqut recently shared an alleged solution to bring down the prices of drugs on his official tweeter account. The tweet came amidst the recent announcement of hike in prices of drugs by The Ministry of National Health Services Regulation and Coordination.

Dr Amir said that exposing the names of doctors who take benefits from pharmaceutical companies should be made public.

He wrote, "Medicines will become cheaper if you make public the data of doctors and their families appointed by pharmaceutical companies in PC Bhurban."

Netizens were quick to react on his tweet and trolled him.

One user commented, "Well all those doctors who enjoy trips and tours on pharma companies money, are not from us."

Another user wrote, " Take care of the dignity of white coat, if you are so fond of money then do part time business with medical. Don't sell yourself so fast friends (sic)."

One user said, "Its funny that you are from Government and still only tweeting about it, nothing more!"
