ZDC, Performs Short Skit On Oral Health Awareness
Karachi: An Oral Health Awareness program was organized by Dr. Afifa Razi, Head of Department, Oral Medicine and Diagnosis, along with a team of house officers of Ziauddin Dental College, Ziauddin University.
They took an interesting initiative to emphasize on the importance of Oral Health. The visit was scheduled as a celebration of World Oral Health Day at The Indus Academy School, Clifton, Karachi.
The students of Prep and Kindergarten were addressed during this event, in order to create awareness at the grass root level.
A short skit was performed by house officers Dr. Saad, Dr. Hiba, Dr. Neha, Dr. Javeria and Dr. Taha, to help children aged between 4-6 years to understand the side effects of not maintaining good oral health status. This was then emphasized by a demonstration on how to maintain their oral hygiene. In order to enhance the demonstration, the students were presented with attractive healthcare giveaways from Colgate. Furthermore, the students showed keen interest in this awareness program and looked forward to visiting the dentist regularly and pledged to apply what they were taught.
