Country wide campaign urges patients to express concerns ahead government inquiry

UNITED KINGDOM: A country wide dental campaign, 'Toothless in England' is now urging the general public to speak up regarding the issues faced due to the increasing number of patients without NHS dental appointments in the UK.

The campaign strives for 'an NHS dentist for everyone'

The Health and Social Care Committee in the UK initiated an inquiry into NHS dentistry recently. This was done after sources revealed 90% of dental practices across the UK refused to accept new adult NHS patients.

The inquiry shall assess the extent to which the NHS dental contract has disincentivised taking on new patients. Officials shall also look into reforms incentivising the recruitment and retention of NHS dentists.
