Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon from Pakistan runs Marathon

 

Karachi: Dr Jehanzeb Mughal , an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon from Pakistan ran a 42.2km long marathon for oral cancer treatment awareness in Amsterdam.

Dr Jehanzeb is a skilled surgeon, who specialises in trauma and diseases, including deformities of the mouth, jaw, face, neck and salivary glands. He currently works at the PEBS Eye and General Hospital, a charity hospital in North Karachi.

In recognition of the need for awareness of oral cancer treatment in Pakistan, Dr Jehanzeb ran the TCS Amsterdam Marathon 2022.

The TCS Amsterdam Marathon is a renowned athletic racetrack in Europe, which is known to be one of the fastest courses in the world, stretching along 42.2km, the track starts and ends at the Olympic Stadium in Amsterdam.

Dr Jehanzeb wishes to continue to remain on track in order to facilitate those that suffer from oral cancer by harmonizing positivity and welfare and inculcating a need for urgency in the realization of an increasing incidence of oral cancer patients in Pakistan.

Dr Jehanzeb’s debut marathon is a pledge to provide surgical treatment oral cancer patients, at the PEBS Hospital and a method of encouraging the masses to donate as much as possible for the same. Indeed, an honorable cause.
