KARACHI: The Continuous Dental Education Committee (CDEC) of Liaquat College Of Medicine And Dentistry (LCMD) recently conducted an awareness seminar on gum problems and dentinal hypersensitivity in collaboration with GSK for dental house officers and faculty.
Prof. Dr Uzma Zareef, Chairperson CDEC, enlightened the participants about gum diseases and their management. Dr Abid from the Department of Periodontology discussed dentinal hypersensitivity, its causes and treatment.
Mr Fahim Bhatti from GSK elaborated on their products Paradontax and Sensodyne in curing gums problems and dentinal hypersensitivity. A kiosk was set up to check the sensitivity among the participants.
The faculty gave valuable feedback regarding using their products among their patients and the techniques to prevent sensitivity in clinical settings.
