Govt Administers Pfizer Vaccine To 15-18 Years Old Citizens

ISLAMABAD- Nat­ional Command and Opera­tion Centre (NCOC) has recently released a notification for the general public regarding the vaccination of younger citizens of Pakistan.

The notification reads that all citizens above 15 years of age should register themselves for vaccination by sending their CNIC no to 1166 from any mobile number, visit nims.nadra.gov.pk or walk into the nearest centre for immunisation. The staff would only administer the Pfizer vaccine to the citizens of the age group 15-18 years.

 The message of the second dose to citizens would be sent a day or two automatically before the due date from 1166.

The notification also reads that immunocompromised individuals of 12 years and above would be vaccinated with Pfizer vaccine only and free of cost. 

International travellers of 12 years of age and above with the mandatory requirement of a specific vaccine could get an additional dose.

The vaccination of 12-18 years individuals would be free of cost with Pfizer if unvaccinated. However, an additional dose would be charged.

All 18+ years should get a Pfizer, Sinopharm or Sinovac vaccine as per country requirement on payment.

An additional dose of vaccine will be administered at individual risk and parents' or guardians' risk if children are below 18 years of age.

Be assured that your dose entry has been made in National Immunization Management System (NIMS) by the vaccination centre.
