World Oral Health Day 2019 Celebrations, CMADH, Superior University

Lahore- World Oral Health Day (WOHD) is celebrated globally every year on March 20th to promote worldwide awareness about the issues regarding oral health and to highlight the importance of good oral hygiene maintenance. It is an international day to celebrate and raise awareness about the diseases of the oral cavity. Many diseases of the body are caused by improper brushing and poor oral hygiene maintenance, therefore oral health in any respect cannot be given less weightage than systemic health.

Chaudhry Muhammad Akram Dental Hospital (CMADH) facilitated a whopping number of 364 patients as a gesture of solidarity with World Oral Health Day. The dental team celebrated this day with great fervor and ensured the event be carried out in the best possible manner. As it is evident that dental/oral diseases result in impairment and physical disabilities that have impact on social, emotional and psychological aspects of life; therefore all the patients visiting the hospital were educated about the importance of consuming healthy diet, developing a habit of twice daily brushing, flossing and good oral hygiene maintenance to avoid dental diseases. Free dental screening was carried out and free tooth brush and tooth paste samples were distributed among patients.

Team CMADH is deeply indebted to Rector Superior University Dr Sumaira Rehman, Director General Superior University, Mr. Pirzada Sami Ullah Sabri, and Registrar Superior University Mr. Khawaja Hisham Ul Hassan for gracing the occasion with their presence. We would like to thank the departments of Management Sciences, English Language,  Architecture, Security and Mass communication at Superior University who actively participated in the event and supported us in bringing home the importance of good oral hygiene. The event was organized by Dental News & Powered by Shield Muskurahat.
