ISLAMABAD: The Department of Community Dentistry, Islamabad Medical & Dental College (IMDC), recently organised a free dental camp for children at the Harf Foundation School at Islamabad Dental Hospital.

Dr Sheze Haroon, Head of Community Dentistry Department, IMDC, Prof. Dr Saima Azam, Head of Operative Dentistry Department, IMDC and Dr Maleeha Ijaz, Senior Registrar, IMDC, Dr Saba Masoud, Dr Menal Khurshid, and postgraduate residents organised and facilitated the whole program.

IMDC has been organising free dental camps for the underprivileged and vulnerable communities around Islamabad. Since 2020 these programs have been paused due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The camp was conducted over two weeks, and children were examined in small groups. The students provided free dental treatment to the children. The second-year BDS students presented the interactive oral health education sessions, and the children were handed giveaways provided by Colgate.
