Karachi: Pakistan Association of Dental Students (PADS) hosted a three-day Annual Congress 2022 from September 30th to October 2nd at Sindh Institute of Oral Health Sciences, Jinnah Sindh Medical University.
The first two days of the event comprised of international lectures, scientific lectures, dental Olympics & a leadership training program. The third day consisted of a dental startup competition, workshops, scientific lectures and Panel Discussions. Professor Dr Kulsoom Fatima Rizvi, Vice Principal and Head of the Department of Community and Preventive Dentistry at Bahria University Dental College Health Sciences Campus was invited as a Panelist. The discussion topic was “Developing the new generation of dentists; Coexistence in workplace and the future of dentistry”.
The discussion comprised of a Q&A session between the panelist and students and young dentists. The panelists focused on providing possible solutions to the problems faced by new generation of dentists, how to manage and tackle issues in workplace yet keeping a healthy work environment and highlighting the possible future of dentistry especially for the fresh graduates.
The audience was pleased with the discussion as most of their queries got answered. Such discussions between young dentist and experienced panelists are helpful for the young dentists. The panelists were also presented the appreciation shields.
