KARACHI: Vice-Chancellor, Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS), Prof Mohammed Saeed Quraishy, recently announced that the 5th DUHS-DICE exhibition is scheduled to be held in the mid of October 2019. The exhibition will support science and research projects from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), Swat, Azad Kashmir, and all over Pakistan.
He said this while presiding the meeting with the organizing committee for the scheduled two-day exhibition of the All Pakistan DUHS-DICE to be held on 16th October 2019 at the Expo Center in Karachi.
Prof Saeed Quraishy, Vice-Chancellor, DUHS patron of the organizing committee, along with the Chairperson of the committee and Pro-Vice-Chancellor, DUHS, Prof Zarnaz Wahid, Chief Organizer, Dr Kashif Shafique, and Dr Sumbul Shamim, Dr Shoukat Ali, Dr Yahya Noori, Ms Sanam Soomro, along with others were present in the meeting.
Prof Quraishy emphasized upon the professionals concerned with research to work to establish a strong link between academia and industry. Professionals should support the participating students and provide them with a platform to promote their innovative ideas and research projects so that Pakistan's health industry can stabilize on the path of success to benefit the masses, he said.
Dr Kashif Shafique, while briefing the meeting, informed that over 400 science and research projects from the Swat University of KPK and other educational institutions and universities would be presented at the exhibition.
He further said that DUHS-DICE is the biggest health exhibition in all over Pakistan. For this purpose, many committees have been formed which are working collectively for the event.
Prof Saeed Quraishy has directed the committees to work tirelessly and make adequate arrangements for the accommodation of inter Pakistan as well as for the members of the DICE Foundation, USA. Different committees presented their progress reports in the meeting, which were appreciated and ended with the hope that the exhibition will prove to be well managed and disciplined in all aspects.
