Karachi: Sir Syed College of Medical Sciences (for Girls) Karachi has recently announced the C-Ortho program. The Department of Orthodontics directed the program under the leadership of acclaimed academician and clinician Prof. Dr HR Sukhia, Principal, Dental Section and Professor of Orthodontics.
The program has attracted participants from all over Pakistan and dental graduates from Yemen, Sudan, Iran, Afghanistan, UAE and Oman.
The 5-days intensive certificate program concentrates on clinically boosting the knowledge and handwork of participants in commencing orthodontics. Besides fixed orthodontic braces, the program provides detailed insight into the use of aligners and functional appliances. The program director, Prof. HR Sukhia, has stressed the importance of continuing dental education programs to enhance the shortcomings in new graduates' clinical and basic setup in commencing clinical practice.
