NHSRC approves getting 2nd COVID-19 vaccine booster dose four months after the first

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of NHRSC has recently stated that people can get 2nd booster shot of the COVID-19 vaccine four months after the first booster dose.

Ministry of National Health Services Regulations and Coordination (NHRSC) has recently tweeted that all healthcare & frontline workers, 50 years plus people and immunocompromised persons above 12 years could get 2nd booster shot of COVID 19 vaccine four months after the first booster dose. Make sure you are fully vaccinated with two primary doses + booster doses as needed, the tweet stated.

Moreover, the health department also informed that a recent CDC study found that higher COVID-19 vaccine coverage was directly associated with fewer cases and deaths.
