Lahore: Associate professor Dr Sadia Minhas has successfully completed her Ph.D. in the subject specialty of Microbiology (Virology) from the University of Lahore under the supervision of Associate Professor Dr Farheen Ansari (Microbiology Specialist) and Prof Dr Muhammad Idrees (Molecular Biology & Virology Specialist, Vice Chancellor Peshawar University).
Dr Sadia Minhas is the only dental surgeon who holds Ph.D. in the subject of Microbiology (Virology) so far in Pakistan. The topic of her research was “Molecular Characterisation and Phylogenetic analysis of human papillomavirus from oral and cervical secretions in local female population, Lahore”.
Dr Sadia Minhas is affiliated with the Akhtar Saeed Dental College, Lahore as Vice Principal (dental section) and head of department of Oral Pathology. Dr Sadia Minhas is author of multiple international publications.
Recently, her article was published in international Journal with impact factor of 20.69. She was only Pakistani who was awarded with young Investigator award in 2021 by internationally renowned cancer forum.
Dr Sadia Minhas is a member of American Society of Microbiology, International Papillomavirus society, Pakistan Dental Association, Medical Microbiology & infectious disease society of Pakistan and European association for cancer research.
