BMU mourns the death of Talha Mufeed

KARACHI: The news regarding Prof Talha Mufeed Siddiqui struck like a bolt within the dental community, whose departure has left an irreplaceable void.

Talha M. Siddiqui, Principal and HOD of Operative Dentistry, Baqai Dental College, BMU, unexpectedly passed away last night due to a massive heart attack.

Currently Dr.Talha M. Siddiqui serve as Principal of Baqai Dental College, HOD of Operative Dentistry, BDS, MCPS (Operative Dentistry).

The dental community came in big numbers to pay their last respect to one of the most likable figures in dentistry. As he was known in the community, Dr. Talha was a vibrant soul full of life.

Dr Talha was a true exemplar of leadership, consistently eliciting the best from those he led. He was a constant source of guidance, extending his helping hand wherever it was needed. His passion for sports and a beautiful voice brought joy to all fortunate enough to cross paths with him. His absence will be acutely felt by his students and colleagues alike, as he was an instrumental force within Baqai University.

Prof. Dr Talha had been actively associated in many extra-curricular and co-curricular activities as Chairman BMU Social Club and hence, was one of the most prominent personalities of BMU during all social and cultural events. He was immensely adored and respected by faculty and students alike who, throughout his tenure had been seen as the liveliest face of BMU.

Till his last day, he had been seen as an epitome of life and energy through his active participation in sports and academics. As Chairman BMU Evaluation Committee, he has made constant efforts to improve the efficiency of academic processes.

He graduated from Baqai Dental College and served his alma mater till his death. He was recently appointed Principal of Baqai Dental College. He was a true leader who could bring the best out of his team. He was always available to give advice where needed and helped out those who needed it.

The void left behind by him is difficult to fill, and his students and colleagues will miss his presence immensely. He was definitely a mover and shaker at Baqai.

The loss of Prof. Talha Mufeed Siddiqui is immeasurable. May Allah SWT shower blessings upon his departed soul and grant strength to his grieving family and the community to navigate this profound loss. Our hearts collectively ache at his absence, but his memory will continue to inspire us. Aameen.

He left behind a wife and three children survive him, he was laid to rest at Paposh graveyard.

The management and staff of Dental News and the Journal of Pakistan Dental Association express their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and pray for the dear departed.
