PESHAWAR: The Department of Operative Dentistry and the Department of Periodontology at Sardar Begum Dental College - Gandhara University recently conducted a comprehensive and in-depth workshop on periodontology.
Associate Prof. Dr Ashar Jamelle, Head of Periodontology Department, Fatima Jinnah Dental College Karachi, was the guest speaker. The departmental speakers were Prof. Dr Shakeel, Assoc. Prof. Kawish, and Asst Prof. Dr Afaq. They all shared up to date advancement and clinical tips. This was followed by an intense hands-on session arranged for postgraduates, which encompassed various aspects of periodontology.
The workshop was conducted by Dr Ashar Jamelle and co-supervised by Prof. Shakeel. Laser regeneration and crown lengthening were covered in detail.
The doctors who attended were postgraduates from Gandhara University. A treasure of cases and discussions was done with more than 30 enthusiastic candidates throughout the workshop.
Prof. Ejaz, Vice-Chancellor, GU and Prof. Dr Shaheed Iqbal, Principal Sardar Begum Dental College, graced the occasion during the shield and certificate distribution and encouraged more such events.
