KARACHI: A suspected monkeypox case has been reported in Karachi, say sources in the National Institute of Child Health (NICH).
As per the sources, a seven-year-old boy, a resident of Lyari, was brought to the NICH with monkeypox-like symptoms.
They say the child has been admitted to the monkeypox isolation ward in the hospital.
The sources say the child being suspected to have the viral disease has no travel history, adding that nothing could be said about his health status until the arrival of his polymerase chain reaction (PCR) report.
