2nd UHS International Dental Conference will enrich the field of dentistry: Prof. Javed Akram

Lahore: Despite the effects of the global COVID-19 pandemic on its event business, the University of Health Sciences (UHS) is committed to offering its annual world-class conference, '2nd UHS International Dental Conference,' supporting dental professionals globally. When initial plans to host this year's in-person events were disrupted, UHS swiftly redirected its efforts towards the organisation of the largest-ever hybrid conference, scientifically accredited dental conferences ten continuing dental education (CDE) credits, over 25 speakers from six continents―from 27 to 29 November 2020. The 2nd UHS International Dental Conference can be witnessed live in your home's comfort and have limited in-person participation.   

Speaking to Dental News, Professor Javed Akram, Vice-Chancellor, UHS said, "It gives me great pleasure, on behalf of the Organizing Committee of the Second UHS International Dental Conference, to welcome all dental delegates within Pakistan and outside Pakistan to this year's conference which will be held from 27th – 29th November 2020, at the University of Health Sciences, Lahore under the theme 'Redefining Trends in Dentistry.'

Prof. Javed shared that the conferences aimed to enrich dentistry and the region with all these new scientific research and treatment methods and modern techniques. "The conference will help all those working in this evolving field to develop, to sharpen their craft and add artistry to their practice," he said.

Vice-Chancellor shared, "We also aim to exchange experiences by attracting leading speakers from abroad and within the country. The organizing committee is always keen to attract dynamic thought-leaders and change-makers from Asia, America, Europe, the Arab States, and Pakistan as well."

The conference will also feature workshops that introduce and explain the latest therapeutic techniques in various dental disciplines.

"As a conference chair, I want to extend my sincere thanks to the speakers and heads of associations, to our distinguished guests who responded to our invitations, to our corporate sponsors. I know that the conference's success depends ultimately on the many people who have worked extremely hard for the details of important aspects of the conference programs and social activities," Prof. Javed said.
