39 doctors ghost employees dismissed from service

By Our Staff Reporter KARACHI – Sindh Minister Health Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar has ordered removal of 39 doctors from service on the charges of remaining absent from their duties for a longer period. He also directed the authorities concerned to issue final show-case notices to 27 other doctors on the same charges and if they failed to give satisfactory reply, their services should also be terminated forthwith. The minister who gave these directives at a meeting said that so far more than 130 doctors, mostly female doctors, have been dismissed from service for remaining absent from duties. He said that services of most of doctors were terminated as they failed to resume their duties after availing Ex-Pakistan leave. He said that show-cause notices have been issued to over 400 doctors for remaining absent from their duties since he took up the charge of health ministry. The minister warned that he would not spare any ghost employee in the health department, saying he will not yield to any pressure or influence in this regard.
