47 more quack outlets shut down in Sindh

KARACHI- According to a recent Press Release, Directorate of Anti-Quackery Sindh Healthcare Commission (SHCC) sealed 47 more quacks-clinics throughout the Sindh province in week and raids against fake doctors successfully continued in the province.  

The SHCC had sealed 3,306 Healthcare Establishment (HCEs) in Sindh so far while warnings for non-compliance were also issued to 1046 clinics till date.

The Directorate of Licensing & Accreditation has received 38 new applications for registration in a week and a total number of applications for registration reached to 10,500. The certificates were issued to 5 HCEs’ in this week bringing total number of registration certificates issued to 9,466 HCEs.

Meanwhile, the SHCC would also collaborate polio campaign with Sindh government and write letters to hospitals for supporting the polio campaign.

Earlier, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) SHCC Dr Minhaj Qidwai held meeting with Pakistan Islamic Medical Association (PIMA) and encourage them to plan awareness session for their healthcare providers throughout Sindh.
