2-day All Pakistan Medical Quiz Competition reaches conclusion

KARACHI: The Aga Khan University (AKU) won the two-day long All Pakistan Medical Quiz competition organized by the Jinnah Sindh Medical University’s Student Council.

A total of sixteen teams of medical students from universities from all over Pakistan participated in the first round following which the AKU, Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS), Jinnah Medical and Dental College, and Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences reach the semi-finals scheduled for day two.

On the second day, AKU and DUHS reached the finals which the AKU team later won after a tough fight. AKU’s Daniyal Aamir and Kamlesh Mahesh lifted the shield.

Vice-Chancellor, JSMU Professor, S M Tariq Rafi, congratulated the winning team and stressed on the importance of healthy competition for the all-round personality development of students.

The judges for the event were Dr Fozia Siddiqui of the Aga Khan University, Dr Ahmer of the Civil Hospital Burns Centre, and Dr Saqib Ansari of the National Institute of Blood Diseases. Dr Fozia Siddiqui suggested that more such quiz competitions on special subjects should be organized in the future.

Chairperson, Student Council, Dr Ghazala Usman, thanked the judges, guests, and the audience after the event concluded.
