KARACHI – A board of studies meeting was held recently at Sindh Institute of Oral Health Sciences, Jinnah Sindh Medical University. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Kefi Iqbal, Dean Faculty of Dentistry (SIOHS).
Other members included Prof. Yawar Abidi, Prof. Mohsin Girach, Prof. Naveed Rasheed, Prof. Tasleem Hossein, Prof. Sheema Farhan, Prof. H. R. Sukhia, Dr. S. Moyn Aly & Dr. Marium Azfar. The chairman appraised the members present in the meeting about the BDS 1st to 4th year curriculum. Dr. S. Moyn Aly informed the members about the progress of BDS curriculum who is being recently join as a director of Medical Education in JSMU.
Chairman of the board mentioned the Academic session for 2018 of all affiliated colleges with SIOHS(JSMU) needs to be synchronized and the session of 2nd year, 3rd year and 4th year would be started in the month of January 2018.
University has taken the initiative to have a separate department of medical education in every affiliated colleges and Dr. S. He requested the respective principals of all affiliated colleges to nominate the focal persons for medical education.
