Karachi: The Certificate Program in Fixed Orthodontics held recently at the Sir Syed College of Medical Sciences concluded on 15th January. Dr Rashna H Sukhia; BDS FCPS(Orth) FFD (Orth) MOrthRCS (Edinburgh) wasthe Chief Course Coordinator. The program covered lecture modules and four hands-on workshops on precision molar banding and bracket placement, cephalometric analysis and tracing, wire-bending and arch coordination followed by extraction loop fabrications. The program even included case to case discussion sessions and amplified the importance of record keeping and photography in orthodontics. The course was organized by Dental Surgeons and chief CDE organizer Dr. Yasser Riaz Malik, Dr. Saad Tanvir Shaikh and Dr. Summaiya Ansari. The program director, Prof. HR Sukhia BDS MS FDSRCS FFD (Orth) RCS MOrthRCS appreciated the efforts of the secretary SSCMS & Director Finance SSCMS, the dental organizing committee together with the Sir Syed Administration and The Department of Orthodontics in executing the CDE program.-PR
