CAPP contributes unique support towards international dental professionals in times of COVID-19

DUBAI, UAE: Faced with the COVID-19 global pandemic, the Centre for Advanced Professional Practices (CAPP) is committed to continuing the organisation of its two world-class scientific annual conferences, supporting dental professionals globally. Whilst initial plans to host the annual physical events (in partnership with World Expo 2020) were discontinued, CAPP swiftly pivoted to re-shuffling plans and decided to instead organise one of the largest-ever virtual scientifically accredited dental conferences, a total of 8 days, 56 Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits with over 90 speakers from 6 continents taking place from 12-22 November 2020.

CAPP was founded in 2005 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) by Dr Dobrina Mollova with the sole purpose of delivering excellence in Dental Continuing Medical Education in the Middle East, Africa, Asia and beyond. CAPP is an American Dental Association (ADA) C.E.R.P Recognised Provider, specialising in CME and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) dental education programmes.

The year 2020 – an anniversary year for CAPP, with its 15th flagship conference in CAD/CAM & Digital Dentistry, was initially planned in partnership with World Expo 2020, a global gathering of over 25,000,000 visitors in Dubai, UAE. However, due to the ongoing global pandemic, this year has proven to be one of the most challenging years in world history. CAPP’s first and foremost responsibility is the health and safety of its conferences’ attendees and so this year its annual events will be live-streamed online via the ZOOM platform and made available on a complimentary basis to a world-wide audience of dental professionals. Delegates can tune in free of charge and take part in a multitude of programmes starting as early as 5th November and ending on 11th December 2020. Here is a line-up of continuing educational programmes happening in November:

15th CAD/CAM Digital Dentistry Conference – 12-15 November 2020 (28 CE Credits)

The CAPP 2020 dental year with its 15th consecutive edition, will prove that dentistry is transforming with ground-breaking speed towards digitalisation. Digital dental impressions, digital oral scanners, digital dental prosthodontics, digital imaging systems, digital smile designs, digital orthodontics, digital treatment planning, materials for CAD/CAM systems, the list of digital dentistry procedures, techniques and materials is never-ending. The main conference will also include a further sub-seminar titled Dental Technician International Meeting, taking place on 20 November 2020.

12th Dental Facial Cosmetic Conference – 19-22 November 2020 (28 CE Credits)

The term ‘cosmetic’ dentistry was invented in the 1990s, but it actually dates back to early 3000BC. Thanks to modern technologies and the fast-growing evolution of the materials and techniques; cosmetic treatment from teeth whitening, laser procedures, composite fillings, dental bonding to veneers and dental implants, cosmetic dentistry are defining a new epoch. • Importance of the relations between the dental aesthetic and function
  • Where facial aesthetics meet dental aesthetics
  • Digital dentistry
  • Index techniques
  • Worn dentition
  • Conventional orthodontic treatment to MFS.

Parallel to the main conference, the Dental Hygienist Seminar will also take place on 20 November 2020.
