Karachi: Department of Community & Preventive Dentistry at Ziauddin College of Dentistry, ZU; under the supervision of Dean (Ziauddin College of Dentistry, ZU) Prof Dr. Mervyn Hosein organized a CME/CDE seminar entitled “Differential Diagnosis of Cranio-oro-dento facial pain”. This interactive session was organized in collaboration with Department of Continuing Professional Education, Ziauddin University. Seminar started with recitation from the Holy Quran which was followed by Dr.Sidra Mohiuddin’s welcome speech, who highlighted the importance of integration of healthcare system. The seminar included lecture session which was carried out by renowned dentists including Professor Dr. Mervyn Hosein; Dean & Maxillofacial Surgeonwho gave presentation on “Dento Oro Facial aspects of Pain diagnostics”, Dr. Saeed Akhtar; Head of ENT at Liaquat National Medical College whose presentation was on “Oto-rhino laryngeal component of oro-facial pain”, Dr.Aziz B Sonawalla; Consultant Neurologist at the Aga Khan Medical Hospital who spoke on “neurologic component of oro facial pain” and Dr.Haider Naqvi; Head of Psychiatry, Ziauddin Medical University whose lecture was on “Psychological aspects of Oro Facial Pain”. Prof. Dr.Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui; Vice Chancellor, Ziauddin University concluded the session by appreciating all the main speakers and audience. He emphasized on more similar integrated and multidisciplinary activities.At the end of Seminar mementoes were distributed to speakers by Vice Chancellor of the Ziauddin University.
