CME activity at Baqai Dental College

A CME activity was recently held at Baqai Dental College (BDC) today. In order to train its faculty on "Formative Assessment & How to Give an Effective Feedback", a three hour long workshop was held, which was a full house attendance event. The activity was held as part of Baqai’s Faculty Development Program. The faculties from Baqai Medical College and Baqai Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences also showed up.

The facilitator for the event was Dr M. Ainul Haq, Head of Dept. of Medical Education, Baqai Dental College. He gave a brief overview on formative assessment and its effectiveness on curriculum. This was followed by an interactive discussion and relevant activities initiated by Dr Azam Afzal, who is a Senior Instructor in Dept of Educational Development and Medicine, Agha Khan University.

Baqai Dental College in its curriculum has introduced ‘formative assessment and feedback’, along with many new innovative methodologies in teaching and learning.
