KARACHI: A 35-year-old coronavirus positive mother has given birth to a baby at the Dow University Hospital, Ojha campus.
A DUHS spokesperson said that the woman was diagnosed with the viral disease after developing symptoms a week ago. She recently gave birth to a healthy baby boy. Both mother and child are doing well.
The baby was shifted to the pediatric unit of the hospital, and his samples were taken to ascertain whether he was infected with the novel coronavirus.
The family members of the woman have already been tested, and they have not been found infected with the COVID-19.
