“Planning and Placement is the key for Implant Success” Prof. Dr. Junaid Lakhani A dental Implant Training Workshop by JMDC and Glow Pak DN Report: KARACHI - Jinnah Medical and Dental College (JMDC) recently organized insightful lectures along with a hands-on workshop on Implantology at JMDC. Dr Mohsin Girach, Principal of JMDC, was the Chairperson at the one-day event, where Dr. Junaid Lakhani along with Dr. Wahab Qadri conducted this workshop, enriched with impressive presentations. Dr. Junaid Lakhani stated that; The the objective of this session was to enhance the knowledge and skills of the fresh dental graduates, on Implant Placements. The experts taught the techniques of standard treatment, also highlighting the role of planning and giving surgical guidelines to the participants. Dr. Lakhani discussed the important aspects of Diagnostic Casts, Success factors in Implantology, Essence of teamwork, planning and accurate techniques in Implant dentistry. He also elaborated on the operative requirements, Implant placement sequence and flap designs. Dr Wahab Qadri presented an evaluation and overview of the state-of-the-art Implant Systems created by Dio - a leading innovator in dental implant products. He also highlighted Dio's implant design-concepts and recommendations for use on machined surfaces or Resorbable Blast Media (RBM) surfaces. Dr Suresh Mehdi and Dr Momina Abbasi from the Jinnah Medical University were the key organizers, along with Dr Basharat Rehman as the Co-Organizer of the event.
