Department of Operative Dentistry, BUMDC organized a dental model competition among 3rd year students, facilitated by Dr. Sara Khan and Dr. Fasiha Moin under supervision of Dr. Shama. The purpose of the competition was to combine their knowledge and creative skills into dental art. Students prepared colorful plaster models on various topics like dental caries, filling materials, root canal treatment and fissure sealants.
Chief guest, Vice Principal Dental Section BUMDC, Dr. Kulsoom Fatima Rizvi, Head of Department Dental Materials Dr. Ahmed Omer and Head of Department of Periodontology Dr. Mushtaq Memon, judged the model competition on different areas such as, creativity, presentation skills and knowledge of concerned topic.
The team members behind model: Dental Filling Materials, Farheen, Sumbul and Abdullah won the 1st prize. Certificates were distributed amongst the winners and other participants.
Dr. Kulsoom Fatima Rizvi highly appreciated Dr. Shama Asghar and her department for encouraging students to showcase their knowledge and skills through these educational activities.
