Dentoscope Pakistan Academy For Advanced Skills Development

Islamabad- Dentoscope Pakistan Academy for Advanced Skills Development is one of the fastest emerging Dental Training Academy in twin cities, founded and owned by Dr. Rashid Hassan, CEO Dentoscope, Associate Professor and HOD, Watim Dental College, Rawalpindi.

The Academy conducted its first module of Aesthetic Dentistry. Module 01 was divided into two sessions, one on Dental Composite Restorations and the second one on Inlays and Onlays.

Each Session consisted of a clinically oriented lecture, followed by a case discussion. Hands on exercises by the participants were also conducted.

The course has been approved by the University of Health Sciences Lahore for 36 CME credit hours.

Dr. Rashid Hassan, CEO Dentoscope Pakistan Academy for Advanced Skills Development, encouraged and thanked all the participants of the Aesthetic Dentistry Course. Moreover, the course outline and motive of the course were explained to everyone. The workshop was facilitated by Dr. Nouman Noor, FCPS, Operative Dentistry.

On day 01, the lecture titled “THE DENTAL COMPOSITES” covered step wise procedure in preparing a tooth for a life like composite restoration. Dr. Nouman Noor covered the selection criteria for suitable materials as well for restoring both anterior & posterior teeth. After lecture, there was an interactive Q/A session where participants cleared their concepts on the topic of the day.

He also gave an elaborated demonstration on all the steps for a composite preparation. After demonstration all participants individually performed the hands-on over phantom teeth. The hands-on activity was supervised by the facilitator and queries were answered.

On day 02 of 3 months Aesthetic Dentistry Course, a clinically oriented lecture by on Inlays & Onlays was delivered by Dr. Nouman Noor. Various cases were discussed and queries were cleared. He then demonstrated the Inlays & Onlays preparation to all the participants who later on performed the Hands-on exercises on phantom teeth.

Feedback forms were distributed at the end of the session which were filed and handed over to the organizing secretary Dr. Namrah Bashir Dentoscope Pakistan Academy for Advanced Skills Development.

The second module of this 3 Months Aesthetic Dentistry course shall be conducted in the month of August, 2018.
