FJDC Shines at International Malaysian Conference

The prestigious International Malaysian Conference, that takes place in Malaysia every year, had a massive turnout. Both, national and international speakers were present at the conference, from Malaysia and across the globe.

All the speakers prepared comprehensive lectures and arranged associated workshops to enhance everyone’s learning experiences.

It was a moment of great pride that Pakistan was also a part of this reputable educational program.

Pakistan was represented by Fatima Jinnah Dental College’s (FJDC) Head and Assistant Professor Dr. Ashar Jamelle, Department of Periodontics. He presented his lecture 'A Novel Bone Grafting Material in Periodontology,' which was also his dissertation topic, while he was pursuing his Master's degree in Clinical Periodontology from Queens Mary University, London. The lecture was well applauded by the audience, that was filled to capacity.

Dr. Shahid Mitha, a former lecturer at FJDC, who also taught in Malaysia for about 9 years, and currently teaching in Brunei, was the only other Pakistani at the conference. He also presented his enlightening topic at the conference which was based upon 'Plaque’s Characteristics and Oral Health amongst Malaysians' which greatly captivated the listeners.
