FJDC & SMC win declamation contests

Karachi: Laraib Tahir of Fatima Jinnah Dental College won the English declamation contest held on the eight day of the ongoing students’ week of Jinnah Sindh Medical University.

However, the second and third positions in the contest were clinched by the students of Sindh Medical College – Komal Abbasi and Sana Zehra-, respectively.

In Urdu declamation contest, students of SMC – Umm-e-Farwa and Mahjabeen Saleem – got first and second positions, respectively, while the third position in the competition went to Muhammad Inzimam. He belongs to the United Medical and Dental College (UMDC).

Humza Faisal stood first in the posters competition, four students belonging to the UMDC – Hunaira Farooq, Qurat-ul-Ain, Laraib Sohail and Roofia Najeeb – shared the second position, while Wajeeha Hasan, Laraib Fatima and Mahnoor Munir clinched the third position, it was announced by the students core committee’s chairperson, Dr Ghazala Usman.
