Government wants Islamabad residents to live longer

By Our Staff Reporter Islamabad: According to recent media reports, the govt has prohibited the sale of tobacco in Public in vicinity of Islamabad. It is believed that more than 100,000 people die annually due to tobacco use in Pakistan alone and this decision will help curb the matter in control. It is reported by the Tobacco Control Cell, NHSR&C, that there are about 25 million smokers in Pakistan with at least 55% of household containing at least one smoker. The decision taken seems to be a bold one however implementation of the decisions is yet to be witnessed.
