Governor of Punjab meets IPAC Foundation delegation

Lahore: The delegation of Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) Foundation recently held a meeting with the His Excellency, Ch Muhammad Sarwar, Governor of Punjab.

Dr Aqib Mudassar, Chairman, Department of Oral Hygiene and Safe Dentistry and Dr Umair Haider, Chief Operating Officer, IPAC Foundation leading the delegation, congratulated His Excellency on commendable contributions in managing the COVID-19 pandemic successfully in Pakistan.

The Governor of Punjab praised the critical role played by the IPAC Foundation in the fight against COVID-19 from issuing the first public health alert in the country, mobilizing the experts, launching a mass awareness campaign, running telehealth helpline, spreading facts against myths, distributing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to the frontline workers, relief fund, issuing easy to understand guidelines for the public etc. The delegation gave updates on the departmental academic and community programs by the Department of Oral Hygiene and Safe Dentistry and Department of Public Health, IPAC Foundation.

The Governor of Punjab was briefly updated about the upcoming projects of the IPAC Foundation. Dr Bukhtawar Azhar, Infection Control Instructor, Department of Oral Hygiene and Safe Dentistry, Dr Ayesha Rehan, President, Volunteer Force Against Hepatitis Transmission (VFAHT), Noshaba Maqbool, Head of Department, Marketing and Public Relations, IPAC Foundation, Asia Kauser, Project Director, VFAHT, Novara Mahmood, Assistant Manager, Public Relations, IPAC Foundation were part of the delegation.
