Hospitals for Flood-Hit areas - Minister lauds Iran’s humanitarian help

KARACHI - Sindh Minister for Health Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar has expressed his gratitude to the Iranian government for setting up five hospitals in the flood-affected areas of Sindh province for women and children.

Terming the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in this regard between the governments of Sindh and Iran `a milestone’ in the history of both the brotherly countries, he said these hospitals which are being built in Khairpur, Badin, Thatta, Shaheed Benazirabad and Larkana, will be of immense help to both the women and children.

According to a statement of the minister, of the total five hospitals being set up by the Iranian government, a 40-bed hospital at Khairpur has already been inaugurated, while work on other hospitals was nearing completion.

“Such a kind gesture on the part of Iranian government will further boost brotherly relations between the people of Sindh and Iran,” he added.
